What happens to your data
This site is operated by Ian Giachero. It collects as little as possible.
Contact requests
When you use the contact form — or agree to leave your details in the AI assistant — your name, email, optional organization, type of inquiry and message are stored in a protected database so Ian Giachero can reply. Only Ian Giacherocan read them. They are not sold, shared or used for marketing. Consent wording version: 2026-10-v1.
You can ask for your contact request to be deleted at any time by writing through the contact form.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address, the site language and the sign-up date are stored only to send you the newsletter. Only Ian Giachero can read them; they are not sold or shared. You can unsubscribe at any time, including by writing through the contact form. Consent wording version: 2026-10-v1.
Ian AI conversations
Messages you send to the assistant are processed by Google's Gemini API to generate answers. Data handling by the provider is governed by Google's terms for the Gemini API.
Conversations are not stored on this site's servers. They are kept only in your browser tab (session storage) and disappear when you close it.
A conversation is never turned into a contact request unless you explicitly fill in and submit your details.
Abuse prevention
To limit abuse, the site counts requests per visitor using a salted, one-way hash of the IP address. The raw IP address is not stored. Counters expire within two days.
Cookies
Public pages set no tracking or advertising cookies — only a functional cookie remembering your chosen language, plus cookies for the site owner's authenticated admin area.
